Thought on Loneliness

Posted by .

What's wrong with being alone?
We're born alone, we live alone, we die alone.

What's wrong with loneliness?

Inside the emptiness and solitude we can find our true self, a self-reliant being.

Love and relationships are just, borrowing Marx words, opium to the society.

Even true love..one day it withered on the vine.

Love is so addictive that people cannot bear to live alone without it.

They will look for it till the end of their lives.

And what will they get? Nothing.

In the end they die alone.

In contrary with being alone, you can prepare yourself to face the darkness of the underworld.

When others are mortified by the darkness of Tartarus, our lonely but bright souls will enlighten ourselves

When others are looking for their lovers, we are already content with the present of ourselves.

Lo!!!Rise up ye loners!!

Break the chain of reliance and fly on your own wing to the glory of Loneliness!!

Thought on Obama

Posted by .

First of all, Kepoyon would like to congratulate president-elect Barack Obama for winning the U.S. 2008 presidential election.

45 years ago, an African-American clergyman stood up before the crowds at Lincoln Memorial. On that historical day, he delivered one of the most famous speeches in the world titled " I Have A Dream".

In his speech, he said that "I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal. I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."

And today, 40 years after he was assassinated, 20 years after his name was established as U.S. national holiday as Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, his dream comes true.

4th November 2008 is the day when president-elect Barack Obama shows the world the true meaning of hope.
He was never the likeliest candidate since the Democrat convention, yet, he stands in front of his supporters as president-elect of the United States of America.
He began his campaign in the backyard of Des Moines and now he end it in front of his supporters at Central Park, Chicago, again, as the president-elect of the United States of America.

He shows the world the true meaning of a great country.
A country which serves as a great tent for people from different background. No what the race, the religion or the ethnicity is, a country is supposed to shelter its people.

Most importantly, Obama brings what the USA citizen have waited for so long.
A wind of change.
He brings hope for a better tomorrow when people in sorrow today.
He brings hope not only to the USA citizen, but also to the world.

Oscar Wilde once said, "“We are all in the gutter, but we are looking at the stars."
but at this darkest hours, where we can hardly see the stars anymore, he says
"Yes, We Can!!"
When people wonder whether they can be freed from tyranny of the majority, he says
"Yes, We Can!!"
When people wonder whether they can free their hands from the shackles or open their mouth from the oppression, he says
"Yes, We Can!!"
When people wonder whether they could reach their dream during this darkest hours of economic recession, he says
"Yes, We Can!!"
When people wonder whether they can break the domination of the majority, he says
"Yes, We Can!!"

And today, just like the Magna Carta proclaimed, just like Barack Obama inspired us, and just like Martin Luther King, Jr. dreamed of, let us stand up!!
Stand up and proclaim to the world that the beacon of hope in our heart is re-lit
Stand up and proclaim to the world that as long as the beacon is lit we will keep on fighting
Stand up and proclaim to the world that we ain't no quitters, as we will let our adversaries taste their own blood
and most importantly, we will stand up and proclaim to the world that we are free!!
Free to have a better tomorrow, free to achieve our dream, free to have the same status as everyone else, let us be free!!

"Free at last! Free at last!
Thank God Almighty, we are free at last! "
Martin Luther King, Jr.'s speech, I Have A Dream

Thought on Cinta Martabak

Before we discuss the philosophy of Cinta Martabak or Love, Martabak Style, we need to know what is a Martabak first.

The kind of Martabak I mention here is Indonesian sweet Martabak, commonly known as Martabak manis. Martabak manis looks like a thick pancake with chocolate/cheese/ground peanut filling.
Martabak is a popular snack in Indonesia. You can find Martabak vendors in almost every town in Indonesia.

You can find more about Martabak here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martabak or

Now let's discuss the philosophy of Cinta Martabak or Love, Martabak Style.
Cinta Martabak first coined by KWW ( not WKW, please do not be confused), an ex-Keller resident of Connolystrasse, C319, Muenchen. He was enlightened during his long, cold slumber and when he woke up he immediately teached the philosophy of Cinta Martabak.

The basic idea of Cinta Martabak proposed by KWW is the uneven heat received by a Martabak during the cooking process.

KWW made this figure to better explain the philosophy of Cinta Martabak. As we can see from the figure, the outer side which has direct contact with the cooking pan naturally receives more heat than the inner side. This way, the oute sides turns crispier because the temperature is higher. Meanwhile, the inner side will be mushier because it receives indirect heat.

The same process sometimes happened with people who fall in love.
Supposed there are two parties, the alpha male A and the beta female B.
Sometimes the love received by both parties are not uneven.
Alpha male A may be more passionate than beta female B and vice versa.
When this situation occurs, a Cinta Martabak process is happened.

What happens next is easily predictable. The love "cooking" process will fail.
Unfortunately, the process of love cooking is not the same with cooking Martabak.
In love cooking, both sides need to receive the same amount of heat. This way, both sides will be evenly cooked.

The second idea of Cinta Martabak proposed by KWW is, it takes two to make a delicious Martabak Manis.
As you can see from the photo, you need two parts of Martabak to make a delicious Martabak Manis. This is a good news for two failed Cinta Martabaks. Both failed parties can meet and make a delicious Martabak Manis. The outer side can have the other outer side, and the inner side can keep the other inner side. They just need a litte chocolate, margarine, and cheese to make a lovely Martabak Manis.

Enjoy your Martabak Manis everyone!!

Thought on Name

Dedicated for a friend, from another friend who does not have the cojones to express it directly.

"Tis but thy name that is my enemy;
Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.
What's Montague? it is nor hand, nor foot,
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O, be some other name!
What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;."
Romeo and Juliet (II, ii, 1-2)

What is a name?
Some say it is the parent's prayer, some say it is a wish
But for me, it is just a mere label, a group of syllables used to distinguish one from another

What is a name?
You can call me McKenzie, Dimitri, Abdul, McDonald, Robert, Gunther, Gomez
But for me, you are beyond those syllables, beyond the lump of meat that incarcerate your true beauty.

What is a name?
Let them ripped your body and replace it with the most horrendous being human mind can ever comprehend.
But for me, you are still the same anima that steal my breath away.

Let our names be forgotten
Let our bodies be torn into pieces
Amore guarda non con gli occhi ma con l'anima
Our souls will live for eternity,
dancing forever in Elysium

TYSK: Pablo Neruda

Posted by .

Pablo Neruda (July 12, 1904 - September 23, 1973) was a Chilean writer, politician and Nobel laureate.
With his works translated into many languages, Pablo Neruda is considered one of the greatest and most influential poets of the 20th century. Neruda was accomplished in a variety of styles ranging from erotically charged love poems like his collection Veinte poemas de amor y una cancion deesperada (Twenty Poems of Love and a Song of Despair).

You can find the collection of Neruda's poems here:
http://www.poemhunter.com/pablo-neruda/

and this is one of my favourite poems

I Crave Your Mouth, Your Voice, Your Hair

DON'T GO FAR OFF, NOT EVEN FOR A DAY
Don't go far off, not even for a day, because --
because -- I don't know how to say it: a day is long
and I will be waiting for you, as in an empty station
when the trains are parked off somewhere else, asleep.

Don't leave me, even for an hour, because
then the little drops of anguish will all run together,
the smoke that roams looking for a home will drift
into me, choking my lost heart.

Oh, may your silhouette never dissolve on the beach;
may your eyelids never flutter into the empty distance.
Don't leave me for a second, my dearest,

because in that moment you'll have gone so far
I'll wander mazily over all the earth, asking,
Will you come back? Will you leave me here, dying?

Pablo Neruda
