Thought on Cinta Martabak

Before we discuss the philosophy of Cinta Martabak or Love, Martabak Style, we need to know what is a Martabak first.

The kind of Martabak I mention here is Indonesian sweet Martabak, commonly known as Martabak manis. Martabak manis looks like a thick pancake with chocolate/cheese/ground peanut filling.
Martabak is a popular snack in Indonesia. You can find Martabak vendors in almost every town in Indonesia.

You can find more about Martabak here:

Now let's discuss the philosophy of Cinta Martabak or Love, Martabak Style.
Cinta Martabak first coined by KWW ( not WKW, please do not be confused), an ex-Keller resident of Connolystrasse, C319, Muenchen. He was enlightened during his long, cold slumber and when he woke up he immediately teached the philosophy of Cinta Martabak.

The basic idea of Cinta Martabak proposed by KWW is the uneven heat received by a Martabak during the cooking process.

KWW made this figure to better explain the philosophy of Cinta Martabak. As we can see from the figure, the outer side which has direct contact with the cooking pan naturally receives more heat than the inner side. This way, the oute sides turns crispier because the temperature is higher. Meanwhile, the inner side will be mushier because it receives indirect heat.

The same process sometimes happened with people who fall in love.
Supposed there are two parties, the alpha male A and the beta female B.
Sometimes the love received by both parties are not uneven.
Alpha male A may be more passionate than beta female B and vice versa.
When this situation occurs, a Cinta Martabak process is happened.

What happens next is easily predictable. The love "cooking" process will fail.
Unfortunately, the process of love cooking is not the same with cooking Martabak.
In love cooking, both sides need to receive the same amount of heat. This way, both sides will be evenly cooked.

The second idea of Cinta Martabak proposed by KWW is, it takes two to make a delicious Martabak Manis.
As you can see from the photo, you need two parts of Martabak to make a delicious Martabak Manis. This is a good news for two failed Cinta Martabaks. Both failed parties can meet and make a delicious Martabak Manis. The outer side can have the other outer side, and the inner side can keep the other inner side. They just need a litte chocolate, margarine, and cheese to make a lovely Martabak Manis.

Enjoy your Martabak Manis everyone!!
