"Everything happens for a reason and everything starts from a reason"
Kepoyon 1:1 In the beginning, was the reason.
According to good, old, Mirriam-Webster, reason can be defined as:
1 a: a statement offered in explanation or justification reasons that were quite satisfactory
b: a rational ground or motive
c: a sufficient ground of explanation or of logical defense; especially: something (as a principle or law) that supports a conclusion or explains a fact.
d: the thing that makes some fact intelligible : cause
OK, I'm not going to start a philosophical/logical discourse on reason, so let's make an agreement on the definition of reason.
Reason is a basis or cause, as for some belief, action, etc.
And since everything starts from a reason, what are the reasons I make this blog?
There are some viable reasons why I make this blog:
1. I'm unemployed and I need to do something. (Deus te benedicas, God bless the unemployed ones, and let those who make fun of the unemployed be damned)
2. I want to share my idea and discuss it with other people.
3. Some people think that a Blogger is somehow cool (at least some people in Indonesia think so, geeks and nerds are not included)
Pretty easy to answer, right?
Now let’s go to a bigger scope.
What is the reason to live?
Reason to Live
Let's try to incorporate a little bit of logic to squeeze something interesting between the reasons to live and the reasons to make this blog.
Logic assumes reason as a premise of an argument.
Without a premise there would be no argument. (It's not really true, you can still make an argument, but that would be a senseless argument without any basis)
That's the same thing happened in the argument "Kepoyon created his blog"
If Kepoyon was employed, there is a probability that he would not make this blog.
If Kepoyon was such an egoistic who doesn't care with other people there is a probability that he would not make this blog
If people think that a Blogger is such a jerk than there is a probability that he would not make this blog
Without the reasons Kepoyon mentioned above, this blog may never be created.
Now let's take a look at the argument "God created Kepoyon"
What are the premises of this argument?
Why did God create Kepoyon?
Only God knows.
The End
Ad finem
"Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent."
So, Is this the end?
Should we stop living because we don't know why were we created?
No it's not!
The reason to live is not something predetermined.
Some people search for it their entire life and still couldn’t find one.
Some people find it at the early years of their life.
Some people find it at the later years of their life.
Some say that they live to love somebody
Some say that they live to get rich
Some say that they live to help the needy
Ok, I'm not getting emo here, but my point is: never stop living because you thought you lose your reason to live.
You don't even know what your real reason is. Only God knows.
Just get busy living or keep busy dying.
Someday, somehow, you will truly find your own reason to love live
